New Nepal Environment Protection Forum (NEFUM) was established in Jun16, 2009 with the purpose to work about the Health and Sanitation (HS), Women’s Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and Climate Change (CC), Environment Protection (EP), Garbage Management (GM), Support for Livelihood Opportunity (SLP), Renewal Energy (RE), Research, Capacity Building, Advocacy for the Organic Farming and Environment Protection and Health and Nutrition Education (HNE). In the mean time, NEFUM has been focusing to make eco-friendly communities as the pollution free villages, violence free village, sustainable agriculture through organic farming, end food crisis and reduce health hazards with the help of series of capacity building training, awareness raising campaign, meeting, interaction, workshop, orientation and advocacy campaign.
Health and Sanitation
NEFUM has taken up a programmed of rural Health,water and sanitation in 5 districts of the country, where volunteers have been trained in the technology, methodology implementation and follow-up work.
Income Generating Program
NEFUM has provided seed money and training for several income generation program since 2013.The income generating program are designed to improve the overall living conditions of the Poor peoples, women and villagers.
Learning centre
NEFUM has been working in school education and non-formal education since its inception. Children are going to their school and mothers are in learning center !!!The small funds bring BIG change in village !! Lets join your hand to make a village difference!!!
environmental conservation
NEFUM has initiated Plant-a-tree and Roof Garden campaign .The campaign will be implemented in Houses of Kathmandu valley.Local women groups and other local groups of Kathmandu valley will be the local partners who will be involved in the campaign.
